The Gallery of Steel Figures
The Gallery of Steel Figures® is the first place in the world where the sculptures made of recycled steel scrap are shown. The idea of the project originated at the scrapyard “Skup Złomu przy Czołgu” (Scrapyard Near the Tank) in Pruszkow, near Warsaw. The initiator and creator of the project is “Jose” Mariusz Olejnik – a Pole who has been consistently implementing his unique idea on a global scale since 2011.
120 craftsmen, the members of the international team, are currently working on these unique sculptures all over the world, and they often devote thousands of hours to achieve the end result which will amaze everyone. Hundreds of thousands of elements for the construction of the sculptures are delivered directly from the local markets where our groups of craftsmen work. None of the figures is cast or made with use of heavy machines, no modules are used for production, it is handwork, entirely, and only a welder, a burner, a hammer and a cutter are needed to create them. This is why The Gallery of Steel Figures® is so unique collection of recycling pop-art.
