Enjoy beach time in the city!
Although the Baltic Sea coast is hundreds of kilometres away, that doesn’t stop Warsaw residents from enjoying time at the beach… The Vistula River is the city’s favourite summer hang out spot. Many concerts, parties and events are held along its banks, including the Wianki midsummer festival, or the Feast of the Vistula. Each year more and more venues are opening along the river banks. But if big parties are not your first choice, and you would rather opt for outdoor leisure and recreation activities, Vistula has even more to offer – charming bike paths, jogging tracks with a panoramic view of the city, beach volleyball pitches and places to rent water sports equipment. In summer, there are ferries shuttling people from one riverside to the other for free in just a couple of minutes. Let yourself go and enjoy the wild river in the centre of the city.
