Discover Warsaw Street Art

Street art has gradually become an important element of Warsaw’s cityscape, making the city more colourful and exciting, and a real paradise for photographers. If you look carefully, you can discover the most interesting projects of local artists, such as NeSpoon, adorning abandoned walls, city streets, and houses with beautiful intricate lace patterns translated into paintings, ceramics, crochets, and stencil works. Warsaw also hosts a large gallery of foreign street art artists – including Dome, Blu and Pixel Pancho. New murals are popping up all the time in the unlikeliest of places, but other forms of street art are appearing in Warsaw too. Multi-coloured Pegasus sculptures are set in front of the National Library building. In the Praga district, on the right bank of the Vistula River, expect to find little blue angel statues by Polish artist Marek Sułek, bringing magic to the surrounding streets and, thanks to their ugly, cartoon-like faces, cracking smiles on the faces of Praga residents, and tourists. Do not be surprised to see a huge palm tree in the centre of the city. It is the work of artist Joanna Rajkowska who, inspired during her trip to Israel, decided to add some sunny cheer to Warsaw.
