The Praga Museum of Warsaw will host an event called “Make yourself a gift”, during which you will have a chance to make gifts yourself, following traditional crafting guidelines. The next edition of this gift-making meeting will take place on the 8th of December 2018. The event will be centred on giving and it will promote making gifts by hand, in a creative, thoughtful and precise way, with the help of experienced craftsmen. During the workshops, the museum’s guests will have a chance to meet animators, artists, and craftsmen. Artisanal stands will be scattered all around the museum, transforming the space into a gift manufacture.

Make yourself a gift – with craftsmen and designers

Pre-Christmas workshops. The schedule includes workshops in music, carpentry, ceramics, leather crafting, bauble making, and DIY for families.

8 December, 10 am – 16 pm
Target: adults, teenagers, and children with parents

The workshops accompany an exhibition “The pattern of Praga. Design and craft” hosted by the Praga Museum of Warsaw. The exhibition combines modern design with traditional craft; it is a place where fresh visions of the youth clash with decades of experience. The meeting of artists and craftsmen is an alternative for mass production and repetitiveness. It is an opportunity to revisit the workshops of the craft masters and bring a brand new quality to objects of everyday use.

The exhibition will be open till 14 April 2019.
