For almost 30 years, this national institution has been a place of creating, presenting and documenting all sorts of contemporary art – from exhibition, performances, presentations of visual theatre, experimental films, to concerts of contemporary music video art and creative workshops, as well as various interdisciplinary events. It realizes  about 500 projects every year. The centre is housed in an old baroque castle located in the picturesque Jazdów neighbourhood – an oasis of nature in the centre of the city!

Nearly 1500 events are held annually at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art. Currently, U-jazdowski is hosting the most significant and largest collective exhibi-tion of the second half of 2018 – Waiting for Another Coming. We also kindly invite to presentations of young artists under the Project Room program. Already on the 25th of January, we will be awarding the best exhibition of the 2018 Project Room series.

Adding to the celebrated St. Nicholas’ Day, there will be an open rehearsal of the concert An Exhibition of Songs, scheduled for December 6th at 6:00 p.m. inside the Wojciech Krukowski Hall, Laboratory Building (free admission). Eight players of the mysterious team, five sparrows, three clocks, two wasps, noises, whispers, and rain – these are the main heroes of the songs, improvisations and games, which both the young and older listeners will be a part of, hear as well as experience during this concert. Children, their parents and guardians will be able to hear and enjoy themselves while listening to a doz-en premiere songs, composed by Agnieszka Widlarz—a composer and music educator. The concert itself will take place on December 8th at 12:00 p.m. (noon). A family ticket costs 30 PLN (entry for a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children). 

We warmly invite all to our intimate studio cinema on those long winter evenings. All films are shown in their original language with subtitles. We usually screen non-English language films with English as well as Polish subtitles simultaneously. However, Polish films—with English subtitles.
